Coastal Meteorology and Oceanography
These are some of my current tasks at the Department of Applied Physics of the University of Cádiz:
WINDABL project
In 2023, we are developing the WINDABL project (funded by the University of Cádiz), specifically aimed at investigating how the vertical profile of the atmosphere impacts the mountain and coastal breezes.
To this aim, we are planning different observational strategies to enhance observations in coastal and mountain areas. Now we are focusing in our participation in the French MOSAI field campaign (P2OA observatory in the northern side of the Pyrenees Mountains).
More info soon!
WRF modelling
We investigate the effect of different changes on the surface (both ocean and land) on micro and mesoscale processes close to the coast.
Coastal breezes
Observational analysis and modelling experiments aimed at better understanding these common phenomena, as well as their interactions with other the land-surface processes (energy fluxes, transport, etc.) and oceanic surface currents.
Besides, I supervise students developing their Master theses within the Master of Meteorology and Geophysics of the UCM and Grade students (Grade Theses) at UCM and UCA.
